Paul Quick

After a long courtship pursued with enthusiasm on both sides, Paul Quick joined Klippensteins as an articling student in 2009. To join us, Paul had to leave his beloved home of Kingston, where he had obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and a law degree from Queen’s University, and had become well acquainted the local flora and fauna.

While at law school, Paul won the Queen’s Medal in Law for the highest standing in his graduating class, as well as awards in Constitutional Law and Human Rights, Aboriginal Law, Administrative Law, Immigration and Refugee Law, International Law, Advanced Legal Research, Property Law, Contract Law and Evidence.  We could go on (seriously, we could), but in the interests of brevity, we will leave it there.

Paul’s resume bespeaks his academic excellence and his commitment to volunteer community activism. A former member of a worker’s co-operative and longtime graduate student advocate and advisor at Queen’s University, Paul also kept himself occupied by maintaining year-round employment throughout his time at law school. And yet, never too busy to savour an occasional quiet moment, Paul was hired on as an associate following his articles on the condition that we allow him to hang a hammock in his office. And we did.
